Levels for Planets 1 - 4 (21st November)
Pattern to follow for the 5 levels of every planet (more or less)
Planet 1 -
Level 1 (Introduction to the new mechanic of this planet)
The mechanics are -
Obstacle - Terrestrial Moons
Obstacle - Terrestrial Ateroid
First 40 characters typed are in relation to just static moons (players earn gravel)
2-3 characters per moon
At any given time there are at least 2 moons on screen (moons spawn whenever the players destroy the previous ones. I thought this mechanic may make non lethal obstacles funner to deal with since players can try to beat their previous time rather than just waiting for the next moons to spawn)
After this phase of moons 40 characters worth of asteroids arrive (similarly they spawn when previous ones are destroyed. Always 1 on screen. Very slow moving) Asteroids have 1-2 letters.
In between the phase of the moons or asteroids there could be a message which warns players that a barrage is about to begin.
If an asteroid almost touches the players in this Level players can use a life line called cosmic shock (only unlocks once the asteroid comes too close to the player. When the life line is unlocked the asteroids pause and an arrow indicator shows where players must tap to unleash the Cosmic Shock)
Let's consider 190 characters per minute to be the average number of characters that a person types on phone and total characters in this level are 80.
Time for Level 1 - 25 (Fastest if 190 characters per minute is what the player starts with) - 45 seconds (if it takes them a while to get used to the mechanics).
CPM to win this round could be 60 (This means the easiest level requires players to type at least 1 character every second which should be reasonable).
Level 2 (Players get to play with the new introduced mechanics with lesser hand holding (no pausing of the game to show players what they must do / reminding them of the new mechanic, simply a visual indicator))
Moons and asteroids spawn simultaneously.
Moons have 2-3 letters and asteroids have 1-2 letters.
Asteroids are faster than level 1.
Total characters to type in this level could be 90.
Time for Level 2 - 30-50 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 70
Level 3 (No more hand holding for the mechanics of this level)
Cosmic shock is no longer available as a lifeline and players will lose a life if they let an asteroid get too close.
Moons - 2-3 letters
Asteroids - 1-2 letters
Asteroids move faster There are always at least 2 on screen at the same time. Total characters typed to pass level is 100.
Time for Level 2 - 35-50 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 80
Level 4 (Letters increase to give players a taste of the next planet)
Moons - 2-4 letters. Asteroids - 1-3 letters.
There are always 2 Asteroids on screen at the same time. Characters to pass the level are 120.
Time for Level 2 - 40-60 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 90
Level 5 (Letters increase from level 4 and every planet's level 5 has a Gargantuan Asteroid with a big word that splits into two smaller ones)
Moons - 3-4 letters Asteroids - 2-3 letters Gargantuan Asteroid - 9+ letters but very slow moving Characters to type in this level is 150
Time for Level 2 - 50-90 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 100
Planet 2
Level 1 (Introduction to the new mechanic of this planet)
The mechanics are -
Obstacle - Vulcanian Moons
New mechanic - Overheat.
First 50 characters typed are in relation to just static TMs and VMs (players earn magma and gravel)
3-4 characters per moon
At any given time there are at least 5 moons on screen.
Of all moons at least one is a VM. The VM being destroyed destroys all other moons on screen.
If players keep destroying all VMs on screen their ship may overheat causing them to lose a life. Therefore players would need to find balance and alternate between targeting TMs and VMs.
If a player gets close to overheating or dying in this level they can use a life line called "Spacial Freeze" (only unlocks once the asteroid comes too close to the player. When the life line is unlocked the asteroids pause and an arrow indicator shows where players must tap to unleash the Spacial Freeze). This lifeline cools down the overheat meter and freezes the movement of all asteroids on screen.
Let's consider 190 characters per minute to be the average number of characters that a person types on phone and total characters in this level are 90.
Time for Level 1 - 30 (Fastest if 190 characters per minute is what the player starts with) - 50 seconds (if it takes them a while to get used to the mechanics).
CPM to win this round could be 65.
Level 2 (Players get to play with the new introduced mechanics with lesser hand holding (no pausing of the game to show players what they must do / reminding them of the new mechanic, simply a visual indicator of lifelines or small text stating the new mechanic))
Moons and asteroids spawn simultaneously.
Moons have 2-3 letters and asteroids have 1-3 letters.
Asteroids are faster than level 1.
Total characters to type in this level could be 100.
Time for Level 2 - 30-60 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 70
Level 3 (No more hand holding for the mechanics of this level)
Spacial Freeze is no longer available as a lifeline and players will lose a life if they let an asteroid get too close.
Moons - 2-4 letters
Asteroids - 1-3 letters
Asteroids move faster There are always at least 2 on screen at the same time. Total characters typed to pass level is 100.
Time for Level 2 - 40-70 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 80
Level 4 -
Letters increase to give players a taste of the next planet.
Moons - 2-5 letters. Asteroids - 1-4 letters.
There are always 2 Asteroids on screen at the same time. Characters to pass the level are 120.
Time for Level 2 - 45-80 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 100
Level 5 -
Letters increase from level 4 and every planet's level 5 has a Gargantuan Asteroid with a big word that splits into two smaller ones.
Moons - 3-4 letters Asteroids - 2-3 letters Gargantuan Asteroid - 9+ letters but very slow moving Characters to type in this level is 150
Time for Level 2 - 55-95 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 110
Planet 3
Level 1 (Introduction to the new mechanic of this planet)
The mechanics are -
Obstacle - Cryogenic Moons
New mechanic - Frostbite.
First 60 characters typed are in relation to just static TMs and CMs (players earn ice and gravel). Slow moving 1-2 letter asteroids also spawn.
2-4 characters per moon
At any given time there are at least 5 moons on screen.
Of all moons at least one is a CM. The CM being destroyed freezes all other asteroids on screen.
If players keep destroying all CMs on screen their ship may freeze causing them to have a 5 second delay before shooting projectiles. Therefore players would need to find balance and alternate between targeting TMs and CMs.
If a player gets close to freezing or dying in this level they can use a life line called "Star Blast" (only unlocks once the asteroid comes too close to the player. When the life line is unlocked the asteroids pause and an arrow indicator shows where players must tap to unleash the Star Blast). This lifeline heats up the freeze meter and destroys all asteroids on screen.
Let's consider 190 characters per minute to be the average number of characters that a person types on phone and total characters in this level are 60.
Time for Level 1 - 20 (Fastest if 190 characters per minute is what the player starts with) - 40 seconds (if it takes them a while to get used to the mechanics).
CPM to win this round could be 70.
Time for Level 2 - 40-60 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 80

There are always 2 Asteroids on screen at the same time. Characters to pass the level are 130.
Time for Level 2 - 55-80 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 110
Level 5 -
Letters increase from level 4 and every planet's level 5 has a Gargantuan Asteroid with a big word that splits into two smaller ones.
Moons - 3-4 letters Asteroids - 2-3 letters Gargantuan Asteroid - 9+ letters but very slow moving Characters to type in this level is 160
Time for Level 2 - 55-95 seconds.
CPM to win this round could be 120
Planet 4
Level 1 (Introduction to the new mechanic of this planet)
The mechanics are -
Obstacle - Cryogenic Moons + Vulcanian Moons
New mechanic - Frostbite and Overheat meters interacting with each other.
First 70 characters typed are in relation to just static VMs, TMs and CMs (players earn magma, gravel and ice). Slow moving 1-2 letter asteroids also spawn.
2-4 characters per moon
At any given time there are at least 5 moons on screen.
Of all moons at least one is a CM or vM.
If a player gets close to freezing or dying in this level they can use a life line called "Hydro Boost" (only unlocks once the asteroid comes too close to the player. When the life line is unlocked the asteroids pause and an arrow indicator shows where players must tap to unleash the Hydro Boost). This lifeline heats up the freeze meter while cooling down the overheat meter and neutralizes all asteroids on screen.
