Powerups
Powerups usage -
One time per charge.
They can be equipped before a match.
- "Frost Field" - Freeze all obstacles for 8 seconds. Cost 20 "ICE"
- "Heat Wave" - Destroy all obstacles on screen. Cost 50 "MAGMA"
- "Fortification" - Block obstacles for 10 seconds. Cost 200 "GRAVEL"
- "Cryo Shield" - Slow all obstacles upon damaging contact for 10 seconds. Cost 15 "ICE" and 50 "GRAVEL"
- "Spacial Ocean" - Push back all obstacles and slow them for 5 seconds. Cost 25 "MAGMA" and 25 "ICE"
The above mockup shows an example of what "Cryo Shield" could look like. Players can activate it by simply tapping on powerup icon on the upper right side of the screen and it would activate it. Upon activation the slot goes grey to show that the powerup has been used up for that match but the remaining two "Cryo Shields" the player has equipped are still available to use.
Powerups can be activated by typing the word next to them in the word box

Refined mockup of above concept with new icons for powerups -
In the above mockup the you can see the following different states for the powerup text boxes -
The first one ("BLOCK" in text box) corresponds to the player's ammunition and cooldown progress for the "frost field" powerup (3 in rhe case of the mockup). As shown by the lighter blue bar that is building from left to right, the player can't use the powerup at the moment.
The second powerup below that ("BREAK" in text box) corresponds to the player's ammunition and cooldown progress for the "heatwave" powerup (0 in the case of the mockup). As shown by the duller and more transparent colours on the bar, the player is shown they have run out of the powerup and can't use it.
The third powerup below that ("FLOOD" in text box) corresponds to the player's ammunition and cooldown progress for the "spacial ocean" powerup (4 in the case of the mockup). As shown by the fully blue colours on the bar and the spacial ocean animation playing in the mockup, the player is shown they won't be able to activate any other powerup.
The fourth powerup below that ("RAGER" in text box) corresponds to the player's ammunition and cooldown progress for the "fortification" powerup (1 in the case of the mockup). As shown, since the entire bar has become the same light blue colour as seen in the cooldown indicating light blue bar in the first powerup, players will know that this powerup can be used once the current one has gone into cooldown.
